PETER Crouch’s proposed move from Stoke to QPR looks to have hit the rocks, according to Rangers boss Harry Redknapp.
The 32-year-old, who made nearly 50 appearances for R’s during the 2000/1 season, has targeted by Redknapp to boost his misfiring forward line.
Stoke have made it clear they were prepared to discuss a deal with Rangers over a deal for the tall striker who netted for the Potters against Wigan on Tuesday.
Crouch has previously worked with Redknapp at Southampton, Portsmouth and Tottenham but it looks like he will be remaining at the Britannia.
"No, I don't think anything there [is happening with him]. It is very quiet," Redknapp told Press Association Sport outside QPR's Harlington training ground.
Rangers completed a deal for Anzhi Makhachkala's Christopher Samba this morning and have loaned out Alejandro Faurlin to Palermo.
Chronicle Sport understands that Redknapp will launch one last attempt to take want-away striker Peter Odemwingie from West Brom.
