HARRY Redknapp insists some of Rob Green's saves at West Brom last night reminded him of the great Gordon Banks.
While Banks is widely credited with the best save ever seen, from Brazilian legend Pele in 1970, Green will be forever remembered for letting the ball slip under his body to gift USA and equaliser against England in the 2010 World Cup.
But the QPR keeper was on top form at the Hawthorns, making a string of superb stops late on to help his side knock West Brom out of the FA Cup.
Redknapp said: “Rob was in superb form tonight. One of the saves he made reminded me of Gordon Banks, it was that good.
“We are lucky that we have two quality keepers at this club, and Rob showed exactly why he can be relied on to come in and do a job.”
