LUKE Young has been handed a QPR lifeline by boss Harry Redknapp.
The 33-year-old was left out of the 25-man squad former manager Mark Hughes submitted to the Premier League in September.
Young has been out of action after undergoing knee surgery but is on the mend and returned to training this week under the watchful eye of Redknapp.
Redknapp is ready to give the full-back another chance to prove his worth at Loftus Road and will consider including him in Rangers' next squad submission list.
“Luke is back in training,” revealed the QPR boss. “He joined in with the group the other day for the first time since I've been here. I have got no problem with Luke, I've known him a long time, he's a good player and we'd like to get him fit.”
Previously with Tottenham and Charlton, Young made 23 league appearances for Rangers last season and has seven England caps to his name.
