RYAN Nelsen insists QPR can still escape relegation – despite setting the Premier League record as the side longest without a win at the start of the season.
It is anything but sweet 16 without three points, but the evergreen Kiwi captain (pic) reckons there is a definite light at the end of the tunnel after the 2-2 draw with Wigan.
He said: “When a new manager comes in he doesn’t have a magic wand, and it’s going to take time, but I think we’ve been a bit better.
“We played two awkward away games and haven’t lost, and it's now a three-game unbeaten run.
“The record is astonishing because there’s not really been a game where we’ve been out of it. But that’s the fine line of the Premier League.
“We feel that if we can get one win we’ll get two and go on from there.
“I’ve been on teams down there where you think it’s going to be really tough, but it’s not like that with this team.”
