QPR have denied reports that midfielder Samba Diakite has returned to France due to depression.
The Mali international has been absent from the club's Harlington training base for almost a fortnight, and boss Mark Hughes confirmed in a statemnent last Thursday that the 23-year-old had gone overseas to deal with a personal matter.
Diakite started in the opening two matches of the season, but missed Saturday's defeat at Manchester City.
Hughes said: "We hope he can overcome this very quickly and get back to being the outstanding player that he undoubtedly is.
"In the meantime, we are giving him the time and help that he needs."
