MARK Hughes lays down the law to one and all at QPR – no matter who they are.
Defender Nedum Onuoha revealed no-one is allowed leeway over their roles in the team, and the no-nonsense boss has made it clear what he wants is what he gets.
Former boss Neil Warnock used to tear his hair out in frustration as he tried to harness the skills of Adel Taarabt.
But the mercurial Moroccan was required to defend as well as attack against Spurs on Saturday – a move to nullify the threat of former Rangers loanee Kyle Walker down the right.
It worked a treat for the 1-0 win, and if there was any slight hesitation from the player better known for his trickery up front – it lasted but a second.
Onuoha said: “Adel doesn’t really have a choice any more. If you’re in a side managed by Mark Hughes you’ve got to be prepared to work.
“Not every team has a player like Adel – and he makes a difference. His work ethic to be fair is really good – it’s something he’s worked on.
“His skills are the extra and his basics are right as well.”
