Fulham boss plays down Berbatov injury fears

FULHAM boss Martin Jol is hopeful Dimitar Berbatov's hamstring injury isn't as bad as first feared.

The Bulgarian striker pulled up midway through the second half during the 3-1 win against West Ham last night, having given the Whites the lead on his 32nd birthday.

Berbatov will undergo a scan to assess the full extent of the problem, but Jol is keeping his fingers crossed there's no serious damage.

He said: “Dimitar has a problem with his hamstring.

“It's not a tear, it's a minor injury. He will probably miss the Manchester United game [on Saturday].”
