Fulham winger makes Cardiff City switch

FULHAM winger Kerim Frei has joined Championship club Cardiff City on a one-month loan deal.

The youngster made 25 appearances for the Whites last season but hasn't featured this campaign after picking up a pelvic injury on international duty.

And with plenty of cover on both flanks, boss Martin Jol has sent him to Cardiff to get regular games under his belt.

Meanwhile, defender Matthew Briggs has signed a short-term deal with Bristol City.

The 21-year-old left-back has played three times this season, but is stuck being John Arne Riise in the pecking order at Craven Cottage.
