CHELSEA will silence their detractors by playing the best football they can – says Branislav Ivanovic.
In a week where the Blues have been been under incredible scrutiny due to the publication of the FA's panel report on John Terry, and Ashley Cole's highly publicised reaction to it, it has seemed that almost every news bulletin has featured stories about the club.
But Ivanovic says the best way to stop that is to continue the Champagne football that saw them romp 4-1 over Norwich on Saturday.
The Serbian, who himself made the score sheet, said: “The most important thing is the position of the club. It’s great at the moment and I hope we’re going to stay there.
“Maybe this way, this is what the people have to speak about Chelsea, about how we play and this kind of thing. Which is what we deserve.”
Chelsea now have two weeks without a match, as their international stars jet off for a full programme of World Cup qualifiers.
