Brentford boss plans keeper swoop

ANDY Scott’s Bank Holiday will be spent bringing in another keeper if he can’t extend Alex McCarthy’s loan from Reading.

With rookie Simon Moore set to go out on loan, the Brentford boss is determined to either secure the Reading youngster for the season, or bring in another shot-stopper to challenge Richard Lee for the number one jersey.

Scott said: “I always said I wanted two number ones competing against each other.

“It’s too early so say whether or not one of them will be Alex, but if not I have other irons in the fire and will bring someone else in to challenge Richard Lee."
