PARK Ji-Sung is a major doubt to face Arsenal tomorrow – and Shaun Wright-Phillips is on standby to replace QPR’s captain on the right of midfield.
Park (pic) over-extended his knee against Everton in the 1-1 draw on Sunday, but boss Mark Hughes wants to give the Korean international every chance of playing a part at The Emirates.
“He’s not trained much this week,” said the manager, “but we want to see if there is any reaction to Friday’s training – and make a late decision.”
Armand Traore is also unlikely to play a full part against his old club as the defender recovers from a stress strain in his leg.
But one injury comeback Hughes was hoping might get delayed appears to have bitten the dust with Jack Wilshere likely to be named on the Arsenal bench.
A Premier League comeback after 15 months, beckons for the talented Gooner much to Sparky’s chagrin.
He added: “Jack is an outstanding young player, and the league has been a lesser league in his absence.
“As the opposing manager, ideally we wish he was making his comeback next week."
