Ealing has got talent

AMID financial meltdown anddisheartening revelations about MPs fiddling their expenses,the comedy dance double act of Demetri and Lagi Demetriou has certainly provided the nation with some welcome relief.

There will no doubt be a wealth of voters behind singing spinster Susan Boyle come the final of Britain's Got Talent, but we should all get behind the Ealing electrician and his son, whose Greek take on Riverdance has been the show's most consistently bizarre and entertaining spectacle.

With 10 to 1 odds at the bookies, it's along shot, but a few more votes from the residents of our fair borough could make all the difference.
